Medical Device Assembly Technician (Day Shift) | Details and Compensation:

• Location: Sandy, UT 84070 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $25.00/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Start times may vary based on business needs
• Occasional overtime may be available

Medical Device Assembly Technician (Day Shift) | Summary and Highlights:

The Medical Device Assembly Technician supports engineering and manufacturing by performing detailed mechanical assembly and sample builds using specialized equipment and build protocols. This role includes preparing and characterizing samples, following SOPs and quality guidelines, and completing documentation to support conditioning/testing activities.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Medical Device Assembly Technician (Day Shift) | Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical assembly and sample builds following defined build protocols
• Mix chemical formulations and use specialized equipment/tooling to support builds
• Heat-form catheter components, apply coatings, and apply lubrication to components as required by protocol
• Photograph and characterize samples; prepare samples for conditioning and testing
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Conduct quality inspections in accordance with SOPs and quality specifications
• Maintain accurate records and documentation; escalate abnormalities/equipment issues promptly
• Rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Medical Device Assembly Technician (Day Shift) | Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Mechanical build/assembly experience required (chemical mixing experience is a plus)
• Ability to read, write, and interpret specifications in English; perform basic math calculations
• Ability to use basic measurement tools (e.g., microscopes)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work on your feet for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail; able to ask clarifying questions and then work independently once trained
• Reliable and punctual; able to work flexible/extended hours as needed
